One piece flexible couplers - FIRST BATCH NOW AVAILABLE

An idea that seems to be bearing fruit is a combined buffer and fitting all 3D printed in flexible plastic. All that is required is a metal chopper. Some fettling was required to the prototype versions but they performed quite well on the rake of clay wagons hastily assembled for ExpoNG. The design was updated and have passed initial tests so the first production batches of square and round styles have been ordered.

This will hopefully open the way to more styles, closer coupling and perhaps even NMRA compatibility.

Point Levers

Several people have suggested point levers in brass/nickel silver and as I need some for my PLR I am exploring this idea seriously. I am leaning towards a generic style where the lever is parallel to the track which can operate the tiebar through a crank. I would like to make it at least partially operational, i.e. driven from the tiebar.

Sprung Axleboxes

Still on the to-do list is to complete my experiments into working sprung axleboxes. Futher to my post on the O14 group (here) I did manage to get some cast but other developments/products have taken precedence.
